Decluttering the Stuff for a Decluttered Life in Retirement

2020 Summer

Jan 2024 [Links are just for your information – we do NOT get any compensation or recognition for them.]

This is the summer no one wants to remember! We did do a small amount of travel – the advantage of having a motorhome.

We had June 2020 reservations at Glacier National Park – they were cancelled and refunded by the Park Service. I understand why but still disappointed.

Adventure #1 – Prado Regional Park

Adventure #2 – All around California

Stop 1: Visit with kiddo#1, son-in-law, and grandkiddo#1. We took our new e-biles and had several rides in their area. We are so jealous they have designated bike trails in the community. For privacy, lets just say the trails are in the San Francisco general area.

Stop 2: We stayed a week at Santa Cruz/Monterey Bay KOA, Watsonville California. This visit we had the super deluxe site with a small dog run on it. Dog loved being outside with us “off leash” with plenty of room for him to move around. We took our new e-bikes and had some nice outings to the coast/beach, watched deer in an orchard, and rode to a local produce field with an awesome view.

Stop 3: Orange Grove RV Park, Bakersfield California. A one night stop. RV parks are making contactless check-in so easy! I actually prefer it.

Stop 4: Highlands RV Park, Bishop California. (no website) One night stop to resupply – next stop is boondocking for 10 days. I don’t think we will stay here again. Sites are VERY narrow – we couldn’t put out the awning.

Stop 5: Our favorite campground for at least the last 40 years – East Fork Campground, Toms Place California (Inyo National Forest). This is one of our favorite locations. We didn’t expect it to be as busy as it was. Pandemic isolation and regulations definitely affected this!
