A friend recently needed to obtain her marriage certificate from Nevada, specifically Clark County – home to Las Vegas.

She found that you can walk right in and get it from a vending machine. I didn’t believe it would be that easy and volunteered to go with her on her day trip to Vegas.

The entire process of finding parking, getting into the building, using the restroom, and getting her marriage certificate took us less than 20 minutes!

Once inside, there is truly a “vending” machine to get a marriage certificate. There was an employee standing close by in case you needed assistance and to give you an envelope. The entire time at the machine was about 2 minutes. I took a video of the process – for her confidentiality I’m not posting it.

I’m assuming you are unable to use this feature if you have a confidential marriage license/certificate. There are also several windows in the lobby to obtain a marriage license as well as a waiting area to have the ceremony performed by the next available Justice of the Peace.
