Decluttering the Stuff for a Decluttered Life in Retirement

Declutter the Desktop!

I cleaned off my desk yesterday and removed 128 pieces of paper and other random stuff – mostly work related!  It just sort of piles up in a corner quietly and stealthily.  Some things in the pile were – gasp – put back where they belong.

I also removed 2 items from the bedroom closet (an old jacket and dress shoes I know I haven’t worn since Labor Day 2008 – our niece’s wedding) and John is getting rid of a raggedy belt.

131 items gone in one afternoon!!  Feeling accomplished!

Today’s a slow day, only about 25 I think. 450 so far for the year, tho.

It looks like we have some catching up to do! 450 vs 153. We can do this! We just need to block off some time to spend in the garage.

You can do it!! You are so far ahead of me, in decluttering totals, you can go a little slow!

I wouldn’t wish our big declutter-a-thon on anyone! We are up to about 16,000 items from the house.

Wow!! That is so amazing! I’m not sure I have that many things left, but never know!

I NEVER thought we would remove 2015 in 2015 and yet we removed so much more.
