Decluttering the Stuff for a Decluttered Life in Retirement

Day 14 of Isolation

I can’t believe it has been 2 weeks!ย  On one hand it seems SO MUCH LONGER!ย  On the other hand, it has gone by relatively smoothly.ย

We are trying to find ways to keep ourselves entertained without leaving our property.ย  Our 9000 square foot piece of land (.2 acres; 836 square meters) doesn’t give many places to hide with a house on it!ย  I think our biggest challenge is finding some time alone.

How are you finding time alone with this “Safer at Home” order?

Today we:

  • made extra YUMMY pancakes with some of the sourdough starter – didn’t think to take a picture until they were all gone!
  • worked on Sudoku puzzles
  • GUITAR HERO!ย  Amazed our guitar still works!ย  I think it’s been over 10 years since it was last used.
  • naps and a very restful day

We repainted our kitchen cabinets last week. This week I will be redoing our bathroom cabinets after work. I may also make new curtains for the bathroom. Iโ€™ve also managed to get my husband to do some small projects since heโ€™s bored. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Awesome! I bet it makes the kitchen look like you totally remodeled!

It is nice having the distractions from lesson planning and worrying!

I live in an apartment. Time alone means I’m in one room and my husband is in the other room right next to it.

That’s what I figured. It’s just not the same is it? I think it is knowing they are there that makes a difference.
