We left home on Sunday morning and made it to DC on Friday afternoon. We didn’t go as far as Wilmington.
Along the way we stopped at the Franklin County courthouse in Rocky Mount, VA to look for genealogical records. My 4x-great-grandfather, John Wysong, was sued multiple times! I got copies of these records from 1800 – 1815. Not sure if these will be enough for my entry into DAR. (Update: they were not enough. Still trying to gather enough to get a supplemental application approved.)

While in the Washington DC area, we stayed at Cherry Hill Park. This RV park is just outside the Beltway. There is a bus stop at the park entrance that goes to the closest Metro station. This RV park also has a dog walker! It helps if you need to be gone all day!
We were staying at this campground and drove by University of Maryland, College Park when Kiddo #2 was in high school. Kiddo #2 loved it so much, she went here for college. This trip was to help her move to Arlington.
All these years later, I don’t remember what all we did while in the area.
